Leather Built the Right Way

In the fall of 2022, I decided to make a leather purse and a matching keychain as a Christmas gift. At the time, I had no background in leatherwork. I didn't know where to source quality leather, what tools I needed, or how professional leather goods were truly made.

So I did what I've always done - I studied. 

​

I immersed myself in videos, books, and articles, learning from skilled craftspeople and studying high-end luxury brands. The first pieces I made were far from perfect. While the gifts were appreciated, I knew the work didn't yet meet the standard I had set for myself.

Instead of settling, I kept going.

​

Piece by piece, stitch by stitch, I improved - learning from mistakes, refining techniques, and raising my expectations every step of the way. Over time, what began as a single project turned into a commitment to craftsmanship and doing things the right way.

Today, Drumm's Leathercraft is built on that mindset.

Rooted in military service, the work reflects discipline, accountability, and attention to detail. Every piece is designed, cut, stitched, and finished by hand in Ohio, using time honored techniques and premium leathers sourced from trusted tanneries around the world.
